Environmentally Conscious Paint

PaintPlus is the environmentally responsible choice across our entire range of paints. Every product in the PaintPlus range is certified eco-friendly by Environmental Choice New Zealand, one of the world’s leading standards authorities, and is the only paint manufacturer to have Environmental Choice Certification for every product they produce.

The company has achieved carboNZero™ status, and along with their uncompromising commitment to environmental ethics, the product is of the highest quality, performance and durability and is made right here in New Zealand.

Environmentally Conscious Fabric

We supply a range of curtains and blinds in fabrics with the OEKO-TEX® label – the most widespread and globally recognised label for textiles tested for harmful substances.

Products with OEKO-TEX® labelling use environmentally friendly technologies and adhere to fair working conditions throughout the production of their materials.

Waste Minimisation

Since acquiring the company in 2017, we have introduced a number of initiatives to support our efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle, including implementing a recycling programme that has seen at least 50% of our waste diverted from landfill. We ceased using plastic bags entirely, and instead re-use boxes for customers to take their purchases away in.

We offer an option to take waste paint back from customers in order to repurpose it or dispose of it in a responsible way. We also recycle buckets by washing them using our Dulux Envirowash System and give these away free to customers when available.

When we have paint that is not required, we offer it free to community groups, or at an immensely discounted rate to retail customers.
